Do I need to sign a contract??
Once we have settled on a date and time, we will send you an email with information and make your reservation. This information will include a copy of our Rental Agreement which must be sent to our office along with payment.
Can I sell tickets to my event??
You are allowed to sell tickets to events at Ninth Street. If your event is open to the public, or you will be collecting/selling tickets, you need to bring someone to run the door, or hire an additional Ninth Street house staff member.
Do you have additional equipment? What happens if something goes wrong??
Ninth Street is not responsible for setting up or operating any additional equipment, and cannot be held liable if there are technical difficulties. That said, our house staff members will be there to help if there are minor technical problems and are at your service during the event.
I want to have food and drinks at my event, is this OK??
Food and drinks are allowed, but please leave the Screening Room as you found it. All trash must be thrown away, and chairs and tables must be returned to how they were when you found the room. There is a $100 penalty for leaving the Screening Room dirty. If you decide to have food in the Screening Room you are responsible for cleaning up all food items, including spills and crumbs. A vacuum will be made available upon request.
I have to run after my event and I don’t want to be bothered with setting the room up again. What should I do??
Make sure the house staff knows that they will need to reset the room after you leave, and be aware that this will be added to their total hours. We can also arrange to have our janitorial service come in with enough notice, and you can pay them directly.
How do I pay for renting the Screening Room??
Payment should be received prior to the day of the event. Payment methods include check, cash or paypal. Note, if payment is not received within a week of the event your event could be canceled.
My event fell through! What now??
Cancellations must take place two weeks before an event or you will be charged for 50% OF YOUR ORIGINAL BOOKING FEE (this applies to reservations booked within the two week mark).
